### Before you install

Suptask requires a **Slack Workspace Admin** role to install. If you are not a Slack Admin, you have a few options:

* Ask your Slack Admin to install Suptask for you using the steps below
* Request to be granted the Admin role temporarily
* In some workspaces, non-admins can request to install a new app — an Admin will receive a notification to approve it

#### Approving for the workspace

Approving for the complete Slack workspace can sometimes be required. Head over to the [Suptask App](https://slack.com/marketplace/A01FN6P6W7N-suptask) in the Slack Admin interface and confirm it is **Approved for the Workspace**.

### Confirm your Admin access in Suptask

Once installed, log in to the [Suptask Web App](https://app.suptask.com) and confirm that your user has the **Account Admin** role. You will need this to set up Inboxes, Forms, and other configuration.

If your account does not have Admin access, see Promote another user to Suptask Admin below.

### Promote another user to Suptask Admin

If a different person will be managing the Suptask setup - for example, if a Slack Admin installed Suptask but a team lead will configure it - you can delegate admin access.

1. Ask the user you want to promote to log in to the [Suptask Web App](https://app.suptask.com) at least once with their Slack account. This registers their user in Suptask.
2. Go to [Users & Permissions](https://app.suptask.com/account/users) in the Suptask Web App
3. Find the user in the list and enable the **Account Admin** role
   * If the user is not listed, confirm they have completed step 1
4. The user now has full admin access to configure Suptask
